As 2023 came to a close, I had the pleasure of photographing Claire and Matthew’s unforgettable winter wedding at Belton Woods in Grantham. It was a day filled with warmth, laughter, and a few brilliant surprises—including their son’s unforgettable aisle entrance in a mini Audi. Yes, you read that right. A custom ride. Down the aisle. Instant legend!
Winter weddings carry a certain magic, and Belton Woods proved to be the perfect setting for it. With its cosy charm and scenic surroundings, it offered an ideal backdrop for a December celebration. From the cold winter light filtering through the windows to the festive atmosphere throughout the venue, everything felt wonderfully intimate and personal.
From a photographer’s perspective, days like these are a gift. Claire and Matthew’s connection was visible in every glance, every quiet smile during their vows, and every burst of laughter during the post-dinner time with friends and family. Their love for each other and their family shone through in every moment, making it a joy to document.
The evening brought even more energy, as the dance floor came alive with music, movement, and genuine celebration. With friends and family joining in, the atmosphere was electric. It’s these spontaneous, joy-filled moments that truly define a wedding, and I was thrilled to capture them all.
