Warwickshire Family Farm DIY Wedding Photography
Emily and Tom’s wedding day was the perfect blend of countryside charm, family history, and heartfelt celebration. Set in their own Warwickshire village, with the ceremony taking place at the local church just a five-minute walk from the family farm, the whole day felt wonderfully personal from beginning to end.
Meanwhile, over at the church, guests began to gather — locals who had watched Emily and Tom grow up, friends who had travelled in for the day, and family members ready to celebrate. The village was full of life long before the ceremony began.
A Heartfelt Ceremony at the Local Church
Their ceremony took place in the charming village church just around the corner (I literally just left my car and walked with my camera bag to the church!) — a place filled with meaning for both of them.
Inside, the ceremony was warm and emotional, filled with readings chosen personally by the couple and a beautifully natural light streaming through the stained-glass windows. When they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, the church echoed with cheers from the people who know them best.
The Walk Back to the Farm — A Signature Moment
One of the most memorable parts of the day was the tractor journey back to the farm! Rather than jumping into cars and taxis, their guests could just wander back to the farm to continue the celebrations along the quiet village lane, waiting for Emily and Tom to roar around the corner in the tractor!
A Relaxed Reception on the Family Farm
Arriving back at the farm felt like stepping into a celebration built entirely around who Emily and Tom are (look at all those tractors, for one thing!) The reception was held in the barn which had been incredibly transformed by the family, beside the other farm buildings, where stunning views, homemade décor and the rustic charm of the countryside created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Guests enjoyed drinks in the sunshine, wandered around the farmyard and farmhouse garden, and caught up with each other while taking in the landscape. The décor incorporated a lovely mix of DIY details, family touches and rustic elements that suited the farm setting perfectly.
Couple Portraits In the Garden
With the farmhouse garden as the backdrop, we grabbed a few minutes for relaxed, natural portraits.
Emily and Tom wanted their photos to feel natural and authentic, so we kept things simple: a quiet walk around the house, a few moments alone in the garden, and plenty of candid shots that captured their genuine happiness alongside their dogs! Farm weddings always offer beautiful light and wide, open space, and this day was no exception.
Around the barn, tables filled with flowers, simple greenery and handmade touches set the scene for the wedding breakfast. The speeches were heartfelt and full of laughter.
