Riverside Hotel Staffordshire Wedding Photographer

So it’s 2023 and about time I started blogging some of the weddings I shoot! (I’ve had photographer friends telling me for years I need to blog but as a self-professed social media recluse I usually nod and mumble something like ‘yeah, absolutely!’) Well now I’m doing it, alright!?

I can’t thing of a better day to kick off the Midlands wedding photography blog than Alisa and Damian’s day at the Riverside Hotel in Branston. It was such a relaxed and laid-back day, and I felt like I was just a friend joining in on the day. Admittedly a friend with two cameras hanging from my harness!

This wedding was a prime example of why I love to shoot bridal prep, particularly when there are a few family members milling about! I love this part of the day and feel like it’s a little insight into family life when there are kids running around too! It's always a pleasure to capture such genuine moments on camera.

The Riverside Hotel in Branston was a lovely location for a wedding. Situated on the peaceful banks of the River Trent, it provided a lovely backdrop for the wedding day.

As the day unfolded, I could see that Alisa and Damian had put a lot of thought into making their wedding a relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone. The atmosphere was so laid-back, with lots of laughter and heartfelt moments. I loved capturing all the candid interactions and connections between family and friends as everyone enjoyed their day celebrating the wedding.

Throughout the day, I was able to move around freely, capturing all the genuine moments without being intrusive. It felt like I was just part of the day, blending in with Alisa and Damian’s family and friends and snapping away. I think it’s this relaxed approach to wedding photography that helps create the most authentic and beautiful images.

As the sun started to set and the party started, I continued to capture the energy and excitement on the dance floor. It was a night filled with laughter, dancing, and pure joy as well as a handful of moments that had me laughing to myself behind the camera - the shoe-phone in particular had me laughing!

All in all, this wedding at the Riverside Hotel in Branston was an absolute dream to photograph. The relaxed atmosphere, the genuine moments, and the love that filled the air made it a day to remember. I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of it all.
