The Hidden Hive Rosliston Wedding Photography

Bride and groom surrounded by friends and family blowing bubbles

Abi and Lewis’s wedding at the Hidden Hive was one of the most unique and fun celebrations I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. What made it extra special was that they had secretly gotten married a year earlier — so this day was really a celebration of their one-year anniversary with family and friends. The whole day had this amazing mix of quiet, intimate moments and bursts of high-energy fun.

A Venue Full of Charm

Hidden Hive is a creative, contemporary venue with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Its stylish indoor spaces and beautiful outdoor areas make it perfect for weddings that combine personal touches with a sense of freedom and fun. The flexible layout allows guests to flow naturally between spaces, which makes candid, documentary-style photography feel almost effortless.

A Day of Celebration

The atmosphere at Abi and Lewis’s day was electric but never rushed. There were moments of calm — quiet chats, stolen smiles, and genuine laughter — and moments of pure energy as everyone celebrated together, particularly on the dancefloor. In fact the dancefloor was so packed for so long that I kept getting trapped and could barely move around the action like I usually do! Being able to capture both sides of their day was a joy, from heartfelt hugs to the wild dancefloor scenes later on.

Anniversary, Not Just a Wedding

Maybe because everyone eventually knew this was really a one-year celebration once this had been revealed at the end of the ‘ceremony’, the mood was playful and relaxed. Guests could fully enjoy themselves. There was laughter, storytelling, and impeccable speech/rap and an overall sense of closeness that made every photograph feel authentic and personal.

Candid Moments Everywhere

From the intimate glances between Abi and Lewis to friends joking around, the Hidden Hive provided the perfect backdrop. Its mixture of indoor and outdoor spaces made it easy to capture natural light, spontaneous interactions, and the little details that make a wedding day memorable.

A Day to Remember

Looking back, what made Abi and Lewis’s wedding so special wasn’t just the venue or the decorations — it was the atmosphere they created. Hidden Hive gave them the space to celebrate in their own way, blending quiet moments with crazy energy, laughter, and love. As a Hidden Hive wedding photographer, days like this are exactly why I love documenting weddings: real people, real moments, and stories told naturally.
