Lydia and Ben’s wedding at The Pumping Station in Leicestershire was a truly unforgettable day, filled with love, laughter, and meaningful family connections. As a Leicestershire wedding photographer, I feel incredibly lucky to have captured so many beautiful and genuine moments throughout their celebration.
One of the most touching parts of the day was their choice to marry in the same church where Lydia’s parents had tied the knot years ago. This deeply personal detail added a layer of emotion and heritage to their ceremony – a wonderful tribute to their family's story and shared faith.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. With golden sunlight and clear blue skies, it was the ideal backdrop for wedding portraits – even if we had to get a little creative with the confetti shots to avoid harsh light! (Honestly, changing the usual spot turned out to be a blessing – the confetti photos came out beautifully.)
After the ceremony, we headed to reception venue, a unique and atmospheric venue nestled in the Leicestershire countryside. With its industrial charm and picturesque surroundings, it was the perfect setting for a relaxed and joyful wedding reception.
One of the most heartwarming elements of the day was seeing Lydia and Ben’s children so involved in the celebrations. Documenting those candid, family-focused moments – whether it was a quiet cuddle or laughter during the speeches – was an absolute joy. Their love as a couple, and as a family, truly shines through in every frame.
As a documentary-style Leicestershire wedding photographer, my approach is all about capturing real, unscripted moments. Lydia and Ben’s day was full of them – from the emotional ceremony to the laughter on the dance floor. Their connection was so natural, so effortless, and it made every image feel authentic and full of life.

“From the moment we first contact Bradley we fell in love with him as a photographer. He quickly set up a video call with us and we got to know each other and what sort of photos we were after.
On the day, he was unbelievably prepared, in the midst of the getting ready chaos, he had written down every photo I had asked for in our previous talks and remembered all the things I had forgotten in the moment!
Bradley was so quick to move around, he got all of the shots we had hoped for (I still wonder how- is he an octopus?😅) and over delivered our expectations all day!

Under 48 hours later we received our sneak peak photos. Bradley had captured some breathtaking images, of moments that we had both missed from being so busy, as-well as natural photos (which we had asked for!) of our children and family members having fun.
And to our complete surprise, 2.5 weeks later we received all of our photos back, which was unbelievably quick, yet he did not under deliver in any way shape or form. Every photo helped capture our beautiful day and we can not choose which ones to pick for our photo album, so looks like it will have to be all of them😅
I would highly recommend Bradley to anyone and everyone, he is such an easy going, friendly guy who is sure to make your day easy, fun and relaxed. And his photos are beautiful, he is a natural photographer!
