Ella & Remi’s Sun-Soaked DIY Wedding - Sheffield Wedding Photographer

On what turned out to be the hottest day of the year, Ella and Remi somehow pulled off one of the most relaxed and joy-filled weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing as a Sheffield Wedding Photographer. And yes – there was even a dog at the wedding! A definite bucket-list moment for me!

Their entire day was filled with warmth, not just from the sun (I’m here all week, folks!) but from the love and laughter they shared with each other and their guests. With golden sunlight streaming through the trees and soft summer haze settling over the landscape, the natural light was an absolute dream.

What made this day truly stand out were the candid, unscripted moments. Ella and Remi were so effortlessly in tune with each other – laughing, joking, and completely present. It made my job easy. Every photograph radiated the relaxed, genuine atmosphere they created. And of course, did I mention there was a dog!

And I can’t go without mentioning their dog (I haven’t mentioned the dog yet, right? He completely stole the show! He even joined in for some couple portraits, which Ella and Remi were super excited about. (I’m still kicking myself for forgetting his name, but trust me – he was the goodest boy.)

As someone who specialises in natural, documentary-style wedding photography in Sheffield, I live for these kinds of days. The light, the laughter, the raw emotion – it’s what inspires me every time I pick up the camera. Being able to capture those fleeting, heartfelt moments and preserve them forever is a true privilege.

Ella and Remi’s DIY wedding will always be one of my favourites. The combination of incredible lighting, laid-back vibes, and genuine connection made it a perfect celebration of love. I’m so grateful I got to be there to document it all.

If you’re planning your own wedding and looking for a relaxed, creative wedding photographer in Sheffield, I’d love to hear more about your plans. Whether it's sunshine and dogs or DIY details and candid moments, I’m all in.

Kind words from Ella and Remi;

“Bradley is a great photographer and very easy to communicate with. He quickly set up a video call when I got in touch with him, and then was amazing on our wedding day, going with the flow, and making sure there were photos of everything we'd asked for, and everything that was happening that we hadn't thought to ask for photos of! We got a sneak peak a couple of days after the wedding, and the full gallery less than 3 weeks later. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a wedding photographer!”
