(Mostly) Documentary Wedding Photography

This is a collection of some of my favourite documentary wedding photography from across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire and beyond — taken from weddings I’ve had the absolute pleasure of photographing since I shot my first one back in 2014.

What you’ll find here is a mix of real, unscripted moments alongside a handful of relaxed, gently guided portraits. The vast majority of the day is captured exactly as it happens — no staging, no awkward interruptions — just genuine moments as they unfold. When it comes to couple portraits, we’ll usually sneak away for 10–15 minutes (if you’re up for it), keep things nice and easy, and then get you straight back to your guests.

Because at the end of the day, it’s your wedding — not a photoshoot.

Every wedding is different, but the approach stays the same: keeping things as natural and unobtrusive as possible while capturing all the moments that actually matter. The laughs, the nerves, the questionable dance moves… all of it.
